Today Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios through a press release just announced that by 2012 we will see making a movie where a teen dealing with typical problems of society today, and we will see a new super – man. The next installment in the Spider-Man franchise, which will be produced by Columbia, Marvel Studios, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin also have a completely different cast.
Actually this news is very shocking because we do not know if they prepare for a possible cancellation or just Spider Man 4 is already sick and tired of the current production has many delays.
Amy Pascal, co-president of Sony Pictures Entertainment commented: “A decade ago we set this trip with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire, and together we made three ‘Spider-Man’ and reinvent a genre. When we started, nobody thought we would make history at the box office and now we have a unique opportunity to make history again with the franchise. Peter Parker as a normal young adult with extraordinary powers has always been the foundation that has made this character so timeless and appealing to several generations of fans. We are excited about the prospect of the return of Peter, and hope to work again with Marvel, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin in this new beginning ”
Certainly a story that leaves us all with many questions that probably in the next few weeks we will be solving, but for now everything seems to paint quite the Spider Man 4.
