Dell confirms its smartphone Mini 3

Yesterday, November 12 Dell confirmed its plans to enter the business of smartphones and announced partnerships with two major mobile operators worldwide.

Dell plans to distribute its new smartphone, called Mini 3, through Claro, which serves over 42 million people in Brazil because the network is part of America Movil and China Mobile, the largest telecommunications company world with over 500 million customers.

The introduction of Dell smartphone category, reflecting continued growth in mobile internet products and value added services, through partnerships with leading operators. Earlier this year, Dell was the first computer maker to integrate mobile services and China Mobile 3G technology on their netbooks, quickly becoming the leading vendor of netbooks through outlets in China.

Dell also has agreements with other providers, global telecommunications leaders such as Vodafone in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, AT & T and Verizon in the U.S., M1 and StarHub in Singapore and Maxis in Malaysia, creating a greater number of opportunities to meet needs of those with a connected lifestyle.
